The last christmas card of this year

Hello everyone!

It's finally here - Christmas Eve! The day we've all been waiting for since weeks. I know it's different wherever you are, but here in Germany this is the day we celebrate - or better said the night. When it gets dark outside kids get finally allowed to enter the living room where the tree is lightning with the pressies are put under it. And with this day finally having arrived I am sharing my last christmas card of this year:

Here I used papers by Studio Light and Maja Design. I used white Gesso on the edges to add a winter-ish touch.

Across the card I've put the Winter Wishes Landscapes cut from white paper. I just needed to give the penguin a place to go to with this big present.

Here is the cute Penguin by Studio Light, bringing the last present to be put under the tree. He was colored in with Copics and I used Polychromos for the fine details and a white gelly marker for the dots on the present.

I've used the Shape Art Diamond stencil by Dutch Doobadoo to cut the paper I glued the penguin on, putting a doily and a die cut circle with stars - that you don't see much of - under it.

Between the label and the penguin I've put the Pine Trees, cut from cardstock and covered with some Gesso as well.

Of course the card wouldn't be complete without some embellishments. Here I went with one of the white berries, a star from birch bark and one of the lacey hearts by Noor!Design. These are covered with lace on one side, but this just didn't fit the style of my card here so I just turned it over showing the backside.

The saying on my card comes with the penguin stamp in a set.

So, I am wishing all of you a happy, peaceful and joyous christmas surrounded by the ones you love!

Hugs, Kathrin

Hello Friend

Hello and good morning dear crafty friends. I had another play with sweet Porch Tilda... she's definitely one of my fave. Isn't she just the cutest sitting in this lovely lace die cut from Joy Crafts? And the best is; this die comes with an alphabet die cutting set. Very useful to create your own text or names to personalize your cards or craft projects.

Below you can see some close ups of my card...

Thank you so much for your visit. Have a wonderful day and bye for now.

Walk to a Tree Farm

Hello everyone, hope you're doing fine and had a happy weekend. It's crazy as in just few weeks it is Christmas... so still time to get your cards ready. Just as I do. Today I show you my latest make, using one of my fave shapes of Dutch Doobadoo; the Snow Globe. It is so great to create Winter and Christmas themed cards with it.

The papers from Pion Design 'The Night Before Christmas' is perfect for this project as I love to put an image highlighted in the globes center.

A close up of this sweet image, two kids om the way to the tree farm. I added some White Chunky Frantage to give it the effect as it would snow.

I added some more die cutted trees to the left an the right of the globe to give it more the scene effect.

This gorgeous Scrapiniec ornament is a perfect add...

And a chipboard christmas tree in the middle of the die cutted trees...

Thank you very much for your visit. Have a happy day!

If something scares you...

then it's definitely not this card :-). Hello and good morning everyone! As promised I am showing you today a card I made with the gorgeous Pion Design 'The Witching Hour' paper collection. I so love this collection as you cannot only make Halloween projects with it, but also for other occasions, as I showed you last week.

I had so much fun creating this card with this cute Halloween themed image also from the Pion Design 'The Witching Hour' paper collection. And it's definitely everything else than scaring, don't you think so?

A close up of the image...

I also used some paper straws as embellishments...

Sentiment and flowers...

This beautiful owl is a perfect addition... I added some copper glitter into her eyes to make her look more lively.

Thank you so much for looking. I wish you a happy day now.
