The last christmas card of this year

Hello everyone!

It's finally here - Christmas Eve! The day we've all been waiting for since weeks. I know it's different wherever you are, but here in Germany this is the day we celebrate - or better said the night. When it gets dark outside kids get finally allowed to enter the living room where the tree is lightning with the pressies are put under it. And with this day finally having arrived I am sharing my last christmas card of this year:

Here I used papers by Studio Light and Maja Design. I used white Gesso on the edges to add a winter-ish touch.

Across the card I've put the Winter Wishes Landscapes cut from white paper. I just needed to give the penguin a place to go to with this big present.

Here is the cute Penguin by Studio Light, bringing the last present to be put under the tree. He was colored in with Copics and I used Polychromos for the fine details and a white gelly marker for the dots on the present.

I've used the Shape Art Diamond stencil by Dutch Doobadoo to cut the paper I glued the penguin on, putting a doily and a die cut circle with stars - that you don't see much of - under it.

Between the label and the penguin I've put the Pine Trees, cut from cardstock and covered with some Gesso as well.

Of course the card wouldn't be complete without some embellishments. Here I went with one of the white berries, a star from birch bark and one of the lacey hearts by Noor!Design. These are covered with lace on one side, but this just didn't fit the style of my card here so I just turned it over showing the backside.

The saying on my card comes with the penguin stamp in a set.

So, I am wishing all of you a happy, peaceful and joyous christmas surrounded by the ones you love!

Hugs, Kathrin

Merry Christmas...

Hello everyone!

Hope you are all well!
I'm back today with a new Christmas card to share with you.
I used Wild Rose Studio stamp called Penguin with Present.

The beautiful Christams papers are all from Maja Design's collections.
Paprs used are: I Wish to play in the snow, I wish you a Merry Christmas, I wish we will  deck the halls and Shades of Winter red for card shape.

I cut out the image with LDRS Holly Wreath die.

I coloured the image with Distress inks and Zig Clean Colore Real brushes.

I'll be back next Friday!
Hugs, Barbara GR

Foxes in a stocking

Hello everyone!

Today I have another christmas card to share and I used quite a few new items on it:

Those papers by Pion Design I used here are just beautiful. I used one with snowflakes printed on the edge/corners in the background, trying not to fully cover the snowflakes with the rest of my papers and decorations.

On top of that I've added a rectangle from a solid red paper and then one with a hearts print. It's acutally the same paper - I've been using both sides of it.

Across the card I've added a border using the Landscape die, putting a piece of a banner cut from the borders desinger's paper by Pion Design on top of one side.

And here are the cute foxes by Wild Rose Studio. I was afraid the reddish orange/brown I used to color the foxes in would not look good with the dark red, but I think it actually does.

The image was colored in with Copics.

On the bottom left of my card I've added a few embellishments. I went with one of the mistletoe branches by Scrapiniec, a pine cone and a fabric flower here. The flower was simply cut from a piece of lace on which it was sewn for decorations.

Above the decorations I added some pine trees. They were cut from corrugated paper and I used white Gesso to add some snow. The Gesso was also used on the edges of all the designer's papers.

I also wanted to add a touch of green to my card, since there is some in the image. I don't really like the traditional christmas color combination of  red and green, but just a hint of green with lots of reds is fine with me. So I've cut one of the smaller tags from the Tags paper by Pion Design and tucked it under the trees. To the top of the tag I've added a bow from twine and also tied one of the little christmas charms to it. The deer head just fit so perfectly to the woods and foxes.

Have a happy sunday everyone!
Hugs, Kathrin

Christmas Wishes

Good Morning,

I am back with another Christmas Card that I have made using Pion Designs Christmas Wishes papers.

I have coloured up Wild Rose Studios Christmas Bunny using Copic Markers.

I finally managed to find a spare afternoon to have a go at making Poinsettias using foamiran. I did make quite a few flowers but have managed to use them all already. I have added some Snowtex & Ice Crystals to the poinsettia to make it look all frosty.

Thank you for stopping by & pop back tomorrow for more gorgeous inspiration.

Hugs

Emma xx

Wild Rose Studio - 2 Cards, 1 Stamp

Hello there I'm here today with 2 cards featuring a Wild Rose Studio stamp from their latest release. They are both the same stamp, 1 has been coloured with Distress Inks & the other has been coloured with Copics.

I made this card 2 weeks ago & meant to show it to you last week but forgot lol.
Paper are Pion Design 'Songbird's Secret' & I've machine stitched all around them.

All the flowers except the small roses & the buds I've made from Foamiran. The centre flower I have coloured using Oil Pastels......I cant remember what colours, I know I used 3 lol.
The smaller ones down here are made using Ivory Foamiran & the inners are Yellow Foamiran.

The stamp is called 'Bunny With Teddy' & is perfect for soooo many occasions, here I've used Bunny for Friendship, he could be used for Get well. Sending Hugs, Easter....so so many.
This one I coloured with distress ink refills, I also added stardust stickles to the inner of the ears, nose & the white stripes on the jumper.
I then fussy cut Bunny out, popped onto foam pads & stuck onto this postcard which is from Pion Design.
The sentiment is from Little Darlings sentiment stamp.

I've also added lace & a Joy Crafts die to the top & bottom of the postcard. The top left corner I've used the new Fantasy die & cut it out of the reverse of Memory Notes.
The smaller sentiment is a Magnolis stamp with a Little Darlings sentiment stamped onto it.
For this card I have also used Pion Design papers but these are from Scent Of Lavender. For the shape I've used a Dutch Doobadoo Card Art template.

I've added gorgeous lace with pearls along each side & then also cut a single flower & leaf from the Rosy Leaf lace. Sentiment is from Whimsy & I've used the co-ordinating die to cut it out.

I've agina used Bunny With Teddy but coloured this one with copics, added stardust stickles to inner ears, paper pieced the top & added pearl dots for the nose & around the image.
I then fussy cut it out & stuck her onto a piece of Pion paper cut out using Little Darlings Gilded Oval die.
This was coloured a week ago & I actually wrote the colours down....yay me lol.
W7, W5, W3, W1, W0 & Grey prisma pencils - Bunny
E39, E37, E35, E33, E31 - Teddy

I've matched this side up with the left side & again used a Whimsy sentiment.

The centre flower at the top I made from Foamiran & added a pearl to the centre.
On the inner panels I added Joy Crafts die-cuts, the bottom one is actually from the Joy Crafts Train die & I cut it from Pion paper. I also did the same to the bracket dies at the top & then cut a bit of pearl to add to the centre of the point.

Thats it from me why not pop along to Noor Design UK & look at the totally yummy stuff Tracy has recently added to the store, including new Fantasy dies....sooooo yummy ;-)

Thanks for stopping by, lotsa hugs
Vicky xxx
