A Halloween Treat

 Hello everyone!

Today I have a Halloween Treat for you. It's a small popcorn box - and I want to show you that you don't have to have any dies or stamps created for Halloween to be able to make a treat.

The box is cut from grey cardstock and I put some designer's paper with a white and grey wall print from The Peony Avenue Paperpad on it.

Inside the box there is a clear bag filled with candies and some of those paper strips you use for gift wrapping. I've tied some green and white twine around the top of the bag to close it and also added a small piece of Rebecca Lace here.

This cute Singing Napoleon with its magician hat is perfect for Halloween. I also colored his belly green, so it looks like he'd put on a small costume.

Behind the cat I've placed a white wooden fence which I covered partially with black ink. Through the fence I've woven some ivy. I was cut from green Foamiran using the Ivy Wreath die. No matter how many videos about the Foamiran I watch, I can't get a decend flower done. But I found out that heating it up with an embossing tool makes the edges bend and curl a bit which adds a great touch to my ivy.

The Boo was cut from indigo Foamiran - this is really great to use in your Big Shot. You end up with really great and crisp edges.

For the moon, that was made from yellow cardstock, I simply used two circle punches.

I am wishing all of you a great rest of the weekend!
Hugs, Kathrin

Fall is in the Air

Hello everyone!

Oh well, it's sad to say goodbye to summer. But looking outside my window I have to admit that it's really gone by now. But that also means fall with all its pretty colors has arrived. And those are what I used for today's card.

I love the mix of warm colors, of greens and reds and oranges and browns. Since I am not a very colorful person - not only in crafting but also in my home style, my clothing etc. - I still try to not overload my cards with colors. But fall just requires a special amount of different ones. And since they are all soft I am happy with it.

Don't you just love this paper with the leaves print by Pion Design as much as I do? It looks like the wind just whirled them all up.

This image by Dreamerland is such a happy one. I can imagine those two riding through piles of fallen leaves or puddles fall rain created on the streets.

They were colored in with Copics, trying to pick the colors from the papers.

I also created a little garden behind a fence that those two ride along.

There's some lace on the paper, then a laser chipboard flower that reminded me of those beautiful fall asters. I've cut a piece of the wooden fence off and glued it on top of the chipboard. And can you go without flowers? I only used one white pixie blossom here but added a metall leave and two of the 5 mm glass steamens. They are not only great for putting into a flower, but also for using them just as they are.

 Enjoy your sunday, everyone!
Hugs, Kathrin
