Welcome Our New Foamiran DT Members

Hello everyone,

Firstly I have to apologise for the delay in choosing and announcing the new team members.  As some of you will know we suffered a sudden loss in our family which devastated us all and being with my family took priority and my mind was not on the shop or choosing new DT Members so I am so sorry that you have all had to wait so long.

It was an extremely hard decision to make, you were all so talented and each offered something different that I had to enlist help to choose.  Please don't be disappointed if you haven't made the team this time round, I seriously cannot tell you how much I struggled as I loved each and every one of you :)

Sooooo onto the announcement.  I am delighted to introduce our first new Design Team members  for the Foamiran Group who will be inspiring you all with Foamiran Flower making and projects and bringing you monthly tutorials on how to make Flowers with the Foam, use the moulds and much more.

Please join me in welcoming .............

Elena Ivanova

My name is Elena.  I live in Bristol with my husband and our lovable 12 year old daughter.

I started crafting around 20 years ago when my friend asked me If I would make greeting cards for her flower shop. I have been hooked ever since and branched out out into the scrapbooking world!

My passion is card making and scrapbooking but for the past year I have become addicted to making Foamiran Flowers which is an amazing  addition on all my projects.

I craft every single spare minute and get such a pleasure from it!
It is a big honour for me to be a part of the Noor Design UK Team and I look forward to inspiring you.

Summertime Explosion

So for many years I've seen these explosion boxes and thought - "Yikes that's far too much work for me!" was!  ha ha ha ha!  ðŸ˜€ðŸ˜ðŸ˜€ðŸ˜  But the end result is gorgeous!  I won't be making a lot of them but I have to admit, it was fun!  I used Maja's "Summertime" collection and added a ton of Wild Orchid Craft flowers, which you can see a huge selection of in the store.

The is the top of the box to which I've added a few Scrapiniec butterflies.  There are two parts to them so with the first layer I distressed around the edges, glued the delicate second layer and then distressed again.  Here you see some WOC flowers, some pomegranate apples and a wax cord bow.

Ummm....these are hard to take pictures of.  LOL!  So that's why you're getting a whole whack of them!

Ooooooo so this gorgeous Wycinanka "3D Lacey Cake" is what started it all.  Well what else would you do with it except an explosion box?!!  Or course!!!   😀  You can't see it very well but I distressed all the edges before putting it together.  Then I glued on a row of pearls (found the inspiration online but sorry can't remember from who) and added more WOC roses.

Here's another view as it's not the same the whole way around.

This is just to show that I do have another layer underneath.  I left it blank so if I actually decide to give it away one day, I can add photo's of the happy couple or some quotes.

This is Scrapiniec's "Mama's Front Porch" that I've sponged with some TH red ink on the flower hearts and brown for the flower pot.  Here's also another smaller version of the Scrapiniec butterfly that is on top.

These glasses are from an old Joy set that I've had for awhile but they were perfect!  I added a few more flowers and an antique floral bronze heart.

More Scrapiniec for you!  This really is a perfect project for some gorgeous chipboard.  As I'm making this I'm thinking....dang!  I know there are some more pieces coming that I could really use so I held off but the post office didn't cooperate with me.  The nerve right?!!  LOL!  ðŸ˜

I had some doves in my stash and now I know why!

So there you have my first explosion box!  I wasn't scared off so you may see more.  Thanks for sticking with me through all the photo's and descriptions!  Let me know if you've made any!  I love to see others as now I have a file folder on my computer for idea's.  LOL!

Denim and Friends

I MADE A CAS CARD!  Yes me!!  LOL!!  Ok well this is as CAS as I get.  ðŸ˜€  The new Maja collection "Denim and Friends" are really perfect for masculine cards.  I can't take credit for the wood looking pieces behind the image.  I saw something similar done on the Maja FB page but loved it so much I had to try it!!  I suppose that's what inspiration is all about!  The collection also comes with some great images and sometimes it's nice to have an image ready for a quicker card.

Luvin' these new Scrapiniec chipboard pieces in the store simply called "Stitches".  Yet another awesome item for men's cards.  I painted these with gesso so they would pop a bit more amidst my layers.

Here I have some bark stars painted with gesso and a couple of bows popped on top using the wax cord, which by they way, come in 13 different colors.  YES!!!!  It's true!

I think this must be the least amount of products I've ever used on one of my DT cards.  LOL!!  Oh but I make up for that on my next one.  hee hee  Thanks for stopping by!!!

Flower Girl

Hello and good morning everyone, since I saw those gorgeous vintage girls images I am in love with them. Today I want to show you my latest card I created with one of those romantic images.

I added some accents of light pink to the image to catch the colors of the card.

More close ups of my card...

Thank you so much for looking. Have a happy day and bye for now.
Hugs, Karina
