A Touch Of VIntage

Good morning everyone, Becky here with you today and it's Friday morning, yay!!

I have used reinkers to colour the Mo Manning image in, once again I have used a mask, and love how you can get all mucky playing with them.

Here are some of the rolled flowers that I have made, I distressed them with ink before I rolled them, still a bit of practice needed on the roses, but you can have flowers to match any colour scheme with these.

Thanks for popping by,

Hugs,

Becky xx

Vannessa's Guest Designer Post #4

Good Morning and welcome to another of my guest designer posts here at Noor! Design UK. This week I thought I would make a start on my TA gifts for the end of the school year. As a teacher and a crafty one at that, I always make something crafty to go inside my teaching assistants' gift bags to say thank you for all their hard work throughout the year and this year, my TAs have been fabulous!

I used the MDF Essential Ovals to make a hanging wall plaque, decorated with some pretty papers and lots of gorgeous die cuts too.

You can read more about this plaque over on my blog too.

The More You Read & CANDY!!!!

Hello everyone Vicky here with some inspiration using the uber fabulous Shape Art Book by Dutch Doobadoo.
First though I have some candy for you yayyyyyyyyyyyy.

Ok you want see the candy........of course you do ;-)
0353-Clear Stamp Let's Party Girl with Lollipop
Here she is, you get this uber cute stamp. Isn't she the cutest, I love her face, this is Let's Party Girl With Lollipop.
Ok so this candy will run for a week & all you have do to be in with a chance of winning all you have to do is be a follower of this blog & leave a comment on this post.
Easy peasy..........

Ok now I will get on with my post.
Ok I have to say I love, no I mean I LURVE this Book Art template, its fabulous & something that will be used a lot.........
I have used black card as my base as I thought it added a bit more pop especially against the gorgeous colours that are in this Botanical Paper pad I've used.

I've inked & distressed all the edges & on one side I curled the tops over, just to make it look oldish & well read ;-) This is I'm keeping for myself so I did a test, I used 2 different methods to add a bend to the page & a gap between each page. This side I used 3D glue & the other side I used large Foam Pads & I have to say the foam pads are so much easier but use larger ones, that's only my opinion of course.
The 3D glue was good but you have to hold it in place until it sets..........ok if you are a telly watcher whilst crafting but I'm impatient & not a tv watcher lol.

Ok so my quote is a Dr Seuss quote & this one came with a Sylvia Zet image a long long time ago but I love this quote & thought it perfect. I used the Cutting & Embossing Parchment die to layer the quote on which I also inked & curled the corners.

I've used my favourite Swirld die under the flowers & one of the many gorgeous leaf dies.......eventually I would love them all........its hard to choose a favourite. I added flowers from my stash & calmed the colours down a bit with gesso.
I added seam binding & a fine pearl string to the centre, also made a bow with the seam binding to tie it all in.
I just added an image to this side, its a digi image so was able to make her larger & then fussy cut her out.
For the colours I've used to colour her pop on over to my blog here.

Well that's it from me, dont forget about the sweet but none fattening candy on offer lovelies ;-)

Take care & enjoy your day.
