Vicky here running a wee bit late today :-( I was really ill last night so couldnt finish my card, thankfully all the base of it was done & all I had to do was decorate........harder than I thought when feeling ill. Thankfully though I've made a card which I thoroughly enjoyed doing & will be definately making more of these.........
I've used the Dutch Dubadoo 'Card Art Sail Boat'..........seriously this is awesome. What I love most about this is it can be used for so many occasions & for all ages...........now us crafters lurve crafty stuff that caters for..........well nearly ALL ;-)
I decorated the inside, keeping one side for writing a personal message on & the other side with a sentiment on. As you can see I've made it for someone I love ;-) The sea I made myself, yeah you can tell lol, the fish though is from the Paper Art set.
I will be making another though for my grandsons birthday...........I love it!!!!!! Did I mention that??
Also decorated the back as well & added another sentiment. All the sentiments are from the 'English Text All At Sea' clear stamp set..........a perfect sentiment stamp set again suitable for many occasions, Friendship, Loved One, Just Saying Hi card, even maybe a Miss You card........just a few suggestions ;-)
So the Chain & Small Anchor here I got from the 'Paper Art A5 Nautical' & embossed them in Copper Embossing Powder. The Steering Wheel is from the die set, links below. I also inked parts with Weathered Wood distress Ink.
Used another sentiment on the front. Also I've added a Lighthouse from 'Gull & Lighthouse' die set, yes I know you dont have lighthouses on the boats but hey anything goes in the crafty world ;-)
Underneath I also used some structure paste & the Mask Art A5 Wavy Stripes to create a few bubbles floating up.....
Added a mixture of Dies &Paper Art, mixed in with string, rope & cheese cloth to finsih off the whole look.
Mojo wasnt quite performing with having a sickness bug but I hope its given you a wee bit of inspiration.
