Silent Night

This week I've used some pretty papers from Craft and You called "Silent Night".  I've done something a little different for me and colored a winter scene using my distress inks.

I've used an image from the most amazing set of stamps from Wild Rose Studio  called "Winter Cottages".  There are a number of good sized images as well as some great sentiment stamps and these cute little tags.  I also added some Snow-Tex to the roof and trees and a bit of glitter to the ground.

I made these flowers using white Foamiran and Whimsy's Lily/Poinsettia die.  I added some foliage using Rosy Owl's "Elegant Leaves", Fantasy's "Big Branches" die as well as Fantasy's "Small Branches" die.  These are both perfect dies to have in your stash by the way.  😀  I also added a Prima wax cord bow and some pine cones.  

I am luvin' the latest Joy "Happy Holidays Pine Tree" and "Happy Holidays Elk" dies too.  So cute and easy additions to any winter card or even masculine card.

Altered Tin

Good Morning,

On my recent holiday to Cornwall I bought a lovely little tin of shortbread back for the people at work, as I was walking around the shop I spotted the little tin & my first thought was 'If i get that for work I can do something crafty with it after'. It just shows a crafter is always on the lookout for things to play around with.

I have covered the tin with white card and then added some of the beautiful papers from the LDRS Time for Tea 6x6 paper pad.

On the top of the tin I have added some handmade foamiran flowers made using Rosy Owl & Whimsy Peony Dies. I had to use the sweet Penny Farthing bicycle on this tin as it's been sitting patiently in my DT box waiting for the perfect project.

Winter Poppies

Hi everyone!

It's me again! 

My inspiration for you this time is those purple-violet-bluish vibrant and extraordinary Foamiran Poppy Flowers. I know, I know,  they're quite unusual, but why not? In the flower world there are a vast amount of unbelievable colour combinations :-).

Poppies were made out of Genuine white and purple Foamiran, whereas the leaves were made out of Silk Suite.

There were many stamens needed in the centrepiece so I've used two-tone stamens and colored the white part in light blue to get the necessary colour combination.

For the leaves I went with, already my favorite, Silk Suite CREAM, printing it with a Chrysanthemum Leaf mould. The last one I find very appropriate for making leaves suitable to my arrangement.

Coloring was very important part for this project! As you can see I used a few of them to gain the necessary combination such as prussian blue, violet, lilac, purple and malachite green oil pastels. It was such a fun to play with those once.

That's my feeling about the upcoming winter, bright and vibrant - saturated with particles from the past summer :-)!

A Halloween Treat

 Hello everyone!

Today I have a Halloween Treat for you. It's a small popcorn box - and I want to show you that you don't have to have any dies or stamps created for Halloween to be able to make a treat.

 The box is cut from grey cardstock and I put some designer's paper with a white and grey wall print from The Peony Avenue Paperpad on it.

Inside the box there is a clear bag filled with candies and some of those paper strips you use for gift wrapping. I've tied some green and white twine around the top of the bag to close it and also added a small piece of Rebecca Lace here.

This cute Singing Napoleon with its magician hat is perfect for Halloween. I also colored his belly green, so it looks like he'd put on a small costume.

Behind the cat I've placed a white wooden fence which I covered partially with black ink. Through the fence I've woven some ivy. I was cut from green Foamiran using the Ivy Wreath die. No matter how many videos about the Foamiran I watch, I can't get a decend flower done. But I found out that heating it up with an embossing tool makes the edges bend and curl a bit which adds a great touch to my ivy.

 The Boo was cut from indigo Foamiran - this is really great to use in your Big Shot. You end up with really great and crisp edges.

For the moon, that was made from yellow cardstock, I simply used two circle punches.

Halloween tag

Hello everyone!

Are you ready for Halloween? I, as you can see, am :). I have for you the Halloween tag today.

I used Pion Design papers from the Witching Hour collection and made dark foam flowers of course :).

I used hot glue to make the spider web :). Do you like it?

Card with roses

Hello!

Today I want to inspire you with this elegant card which can be used for many occasions.

To make it I used LemonCrafr paper from beautiful House of Roses collection.

Sometimes only one paper is enough, but our card will be made of many layers.

Used Roses and Peony Prima Colour Bloom Spray have the same colour...

Vintage Seam Bindings and Hyacinths are also in the same colour...

I Really really want you to have fun with colours!
