It's New Year's Eve

Hello everyone!

It's New Year's Eve - the last day of the year. Everyone is looking forward to the new one, leaving behind the old one and all the unpleasant things it might have brought. And of course to all the celebrations planned tonight! That's what I made the theme of the card I am sharing with you today:

Here I used the beautiful Outdoors paper from the Joyous Winterdays Collection by Maja Design. I used both sides here - the one with the flourishes in the background and the beautiful green one for the big rectangle in the middle of my card. Inbetween I've put some paper with a script pattern from the Peony Avenue paperpad by Studio 75. I also used the same one for the strip I've put across the card.

All papers are matted with black cardstock to add some contrast to my card. Behind the large rectangle I've put a flower border cut from black cardstock using the border die by Noor!Design.

In the middle, as the center element, I used the beautiful Clock with Swirls by Joycrafts. I love the look of this die cut! The detailed and swirly frame and the antique looking clock in the middle.

I used silver mirror cardstock to cut the background part. On the picture I took of the whole card my camera is mirroring in the mirror cardstock so you can't really see it. That's why I took another picture from an angle. Can you see the elegant look? I think using the mirror cardstock only made it look more elegant. The clock was cut from black cardstock.

I used Wine Tasting Tilda for my card again. As you might have seen - the clock shows it's midnight. And Tilda is ready to toast to the new year. She even brought out her nice clothes, wearing a glittering shirt and matching shoes.

On the left side of the card I used the Outdoors paper again to cut this little banner and tucked it under the clock. I also used one of the large Cotton Butterflies by Joycrafts here. Who says all butterflies are hiding away in winter?

So, with this last card of the year here on the blog I want to wish all of you a happy New Year's Eve and a wonderful, creative and healthy new year 2018!

Hugs, Kathrin

One More

Well as fun as it's been, I think this is my last Christmas card to share with you.  Booooo...I know right?  LOL!!  This cute image is Whimy's "Rudolph", who I've colored with Copics.  I put the "JOY" sentiment near the top using Joy's "Scrabble Stamp and Die" set.  I used Studio Light's "Winter Feelings No. 60" paper pad.  Oh my it is KA-UTE and not only for Christmas cards but winter cards.

Don't you love this rusty tin?  It's even corrugated!!  WHAT?!!  I KNOW!!  Such a cool piece.  I layered it behind some white meadow spray, chrysanthemum, pixie bloom, open rose and Joycraft's latest "Berries" natural.

Here we have more of the same but a better pic of the Joycraft berries.  I added a rusty tin heart, more of what I like, a seam binding bow and that gorgeous rhinestone heart button.  SOOOOOOO PRETTY!!

Wow I can't believe another year has passed!!!  Thank you so much for your visits!  Looking forward to sharing another year of inspiring you all!

Hugs,

Silver Luster Mini Foamiran Flowers

Happy Christmas Everyone!

Despite the festive atmosphere and as a rest of the permanent celebration with friends and relatives I had another play with foamiran this week and would love to show you the result.

I've created these small flowers as a response of a friend of mine, who asked me recently to show something suitable for small project! So, there it is... little  stunning flowers with bright stamens in the centre, shining such as small suns.

To make them I used two types of foamiran - White and Silver Luster, absolutely  amazing products which you can find in Noor Design online. The petals were slightly coloured with Light Blue and Lilac oil pastels. For the sepals I used Olive Green Foamiran.

To achieve the necessary colour I dyed the red stamens with a hot orange oil pastel and the outcome was more than satisfactory.

Although the petals are small (at about 3.5 cm), I printed them with Hydrangea Leaf Mould, to give them a look of a natural texture.

I can say that I'm happy about the result! What do you think?

I wish you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New 2018 everyone!

Hugs,
Elena xxx

The last christmas card of this year

Hello everyone!

It's finally here - Christmas Eve! The day we've all been waiting for since weeks. I know it's different wherever you are, but here in Germany this is the day we celebrate - or better said the night. When it gets dark outside kids get finally allowed to enter the living room where the tree is lightning with the pressies are put under it. And with this day finally having arrived I am sharing my last christmas card of this year:

Here I used papers by Studio Light and Maja Design. I used white Gesso on the edges to add a winter-ish touch.

Across the card I've put the Winter Wishes Landscapes cut from white paper. I just needed to give the penguin a place to go to with this big present.

Here is the cute Penguin by Studio Light, bringing the last present to be put under the tree. He was colored in with Copics and I used Polychromos for the fine details and a white gelly marker for the dots on the present.

I've used the Shape Art Diamond stencil by Dutch Doobadoo to cut the paper I glued the penguin on, putting a doily and a die cut circle with stars - that you don't see much of - under it.

Between the label and the penguin I've put the Pine Trees, cut from cardstock and covered with some Gesso as well.

Of course the card wouldn't be complete without some embellishments. Here I went with one of the white berries, a star from birch bark and one of the lacey hearts by Noor!Design. These are covered with lace on one side, but this just didn't fit the style of my card here so I just turned it over showing the backside.

The saying on my card comes with the penguin stamp in a set.

So, I am wishing all of you a happy, peaceful and joyous christmas surrounded by the ones you love!

Hugs, Kathrin

LDRS "Winnie Fairy Sparkle"

I have something a little more for New Year's!!  Well, at least that's what I made for my sister's card this season.  And I made it for New Years so it can stay up longer than just a few weeks.  Clever huh?  LOL!  Although my mom just informed me the other day that she still has her birthday card up....from July.  Hee hee she's so cute!  And, btw, who I get all my talent from.  😀

I say New Year's too because I'm thinking that LDRS's "Winnie Fairy Sparkle" image has her little midnight sparkly wand to tap in the new year and then she's hanging onto her teddy bear because at 12:01am she's going to bed!  LOL!  Sound familiar?!  We try every year to make it just a minute or second past....why?  I have no idea.  😀  I love this gorgeous rose ribbon at the bottom and I've also slid in some new Joycraft "Lacey Cotton Hearts" along with some bark stars.

I kind of forgot about my meadow spray that I've been hoarding but YAY I finally got to use the purple color!!  Oh AND the gorgeous purple wax cord too!  I really like this color combo and it's the papers that started it all - Maja's "Joyous Winterdays".  Cute little pinecones and silver heart charm huh?  😊  OH also, the die!!  There's one here on the left and 2 in the upper right corner - that die is from Fantasy called "New Year's Desire Catcher".  IT IS KAUTE!

AND TADA!!  I added a little glow to her magic wand.
Awwwwww!!!

Well a very Merry Christmas
to those of you who celebrate but
also a happy holiday to anyone
celebrating anything else!!

Hugs!

Christmas Tilda

Good Morning,

Well this is my last post before Christmas, wow where has the time gone. I still haven't bought all my Christmas presents so I will be running around at the weekend trying to get everything done.

I have coloured up another of the new Magnolia Stamps from the Christmas Party Collection called 'Christmas Tilda' using Intense Pencils. I have added a dusting of glamour dust for a bit of sparkle.

I have used the Maja Designs Joyous Winterdays papers to make this card, I do love these papers they are just perfect for winter cards as they have a real frosty feel.

I have used the Joy Crafts Scrabble Stamp & Die set to make the Xmas sentiment, this stamp set is just brilliant & I think I will be using it a lot more.

Thank you for popping by & stop back tomorrow for some more fabulous inspiration from the team.

Hope you have a super day

Hugs

Emma xx
