In a Pickle

Good day!!  I have some sad news to share and I hate to tell you about this but today will be my last post for Crafteezee.  I have LOVED being a member of this amazing DT and have also loved every product that I have had a chance to play with!!  Tracy is an incredible DT boss and has a remarkable insight to carrying the most beautiful products in her store.  I LOVE that this store has become a great place for my one stop shopping needs.  I may not be on the team anymore but I will still be purchasing product as it has been and always will be one of my favorite stores out there!!!!

Speaking of favorite things, this image has also been of of my all time favorites.  LDRS's Polkadoodles "In a Pickle", which I've colored using my distress inks.  At the top you'll see I got hold of my Stardust Stickles bottle and added a gorgeous sparkly layer to my Scrapniec "Alamor Borders" piece.  I also added a length of double heart pearl trim to the bottom and topped with a few WOC roses.

On each side of my card I've layered LDRS's "Victorian" border over top of that super cute LDRS Polkadoodles "Lovely Lilacs" paper.  In my bouquet,  I have a variety of flowers with some bon bons and pearl sprays.

In my right bouquet, I have much of the same but also some Joycraft burlap flowers and a seam binding bow with a stunning heart pearl with rhinestones.  Ooooooo it was hard not to hoard that piece longer.  LOL!!

I am not leaving the crafting world completely so please say hi on Facebook when or if you are out there floating around!!  I will miss this team and Tracy but keep on crafting my friends!  It's the best hobby in the world!!!

Hugs and love,
Eulanda

Being in Seventh Heaven

Good Morning,

I can't believe what wonderful weather we have been having I just wish it was a tad bit cooler, I'm not really that great with the heat.
It's been that hot that getting into my Craft room has been interesting but I did manage to get in there long enough to put this card together.

I have used the gorgeous Seventh Heaven papers from Mintay. There are such gorgeous colours & come with lots of little embellishments that you can cut out.

Thank you for stopping by.

Hugs

Emma xx

Flower spread Tutorial

Hi everyone!

Today I will show you not just one individual flower but also how to make a delicate flower spray from a few of the pretty open flowers. A flower arrangement like this can be used both for a scrapbook decoration and also for
a stunning flower accessory.

To make this flower spray you will need:

  •     A strip of white foamiran 4.5 cm x 31.5 cm,
  •     a strip of Dark green foamiran 1.5 cm x 18 cm,
  •     a cocktail stick,
  •     a glue gun with a glue stick,
  •     an iron,
  •     pink (or some other colour) oil pastel,
  •     approximately 20 double-headed Vintage Rose 1 mm flower stamens,
  •     a piece of a kitchen sponge,
  •     scissors,
  •     florist wire #30,
  •     a piece of green florist tape
  •     flower tool,
  •     a ruler
  •     tweezers.

From the white foamiran strip cut seven equal squares, 4.5 cm x 4.5 cm approximately.

Draw a five petal flower shape into each square.

Cut each shape out.

Colour the edges of the petals on both sides with a little extra emphasis on the tips of the petals.

Heat the petals using the iron.

Push the centre of the flower with the flower making tool from the non-heated side.

Perforate each flower in the centre using a cocktail stick as indicated.

Using tweezers, stick a bunch of stamens (at about 1 cm in length) as shown in my photograph. Three double headed stamens are pretty much enough for each flower.

Prepare seven pieces of florist wire 10 – 12 cm in length.

Make a little loop at the end of every piece of wire.

Place the wire in the flower as indicated in the photos.

Adhere with a drop of hot glue and apply the little bunch of stamens in the centre of the flowers.

Clutch the petals as shown.

Attach the flowers in a small bunch with a piece of florist tape.

From the strip of green foamiran shape two leaves.

Using the iron heat both of them.

Fold it along its length and bend it slightly as I have indicated.

Attach the shaped leaves at the bottom of the spray with glue and a piece of florist tape.

Now the flower spray completely finished.

Thank you for stopping by!
Hava a happy crafting!

Happy Anniversary

Hi All,

During our holiday to Florida it will be my Sister and Brother in Law's 25th wedding anniversary and this is a little different for a reason.  We will be going up in a hot air balloon to see the beautiful sun rise in Florida and it was our present to my sister and brother-in-law so it seemed fitting to make them a card to remember the ocassion.

I used the beautiful papers from Reprint.  All links at the bottom.

I tried to keep it relatively simple.  The centrepiece is a Fantasy Balloon painted with Gesso in white with a few flowers and butterflies from the Reprint paper.

Hugs Tracy x
