Winter Mittens

Good morning,

I have used the November release Dutch Doobadoo Mittens stencil for the shaped card.  These will be in stock hopefully Monday/Tuesday and all pre-orders will go out as soon as the stock arrives :)  The image is from the Winter Images paper pad, so handy for quick cards.

I have used the Happy Holidays 12x12 Paper Pad, love the colours in this pad.

I created the gorgeous gorgeous poinsetta's using the Filagree Poinsetta Die as well as the Classic Poinsetta Die, my new favourite this year and I'm sure next too :)

I used the Banner die and placed the sentiment from the Dutch Doobadoo Paper Art onto it.

Behind the image I have added my favourite Ice Crystal Circle die.

Hope you like it :)

Autumn leaves

Hi guys, Liz here, the  lovely Tracy asked me if I fancied doing a GDT spot for her fabulous shop and of course I said yes, I received some gorgeous products in my parcel and couldn't wait to use one of  the  008-MDF leaves,

I began by adding some grunge paste through the 010 - flower swirl mask, I left some bits grungy looking as nature at this time of year is quite grungy looking too and  to be honest that's how I like it,
when the paste was dry I sprayed some colour bloom sprays on the top by Prima, Tracy sells some of these and I love the sheen you get with them,

I then took some of the  014 - Dutch Doobadoo soft board bricks ( so love these) which I had coloured lightly with distress inks and adhered them off to the left and slightly above center, you can maybe see them peeking out behind the craft  paper art leaves - 008, I then added some different paper art leaves, A5 Autumn  leaves - 027 which again I coloured with my distress inks and shaped slightly by hand, to add a little depth,

I finished off with a gorgeous white  flower sent by Tracy and some more flowers from my stash, I then added a few more of the soft board bricks underneath too,
I will be back next Friday with another project using some more fabulous products from Tracy's awesome shop,
Happy Crafting!!
Hugs Liz xx

Oval Christmas Decoration

Hello again! I'm back today with another Guest Designer piece - this time a Christmas decoration using an MDF plaque as the base. I love vintage Christmas makes!

I used the Circle with Flower die to make some poinsettias - for each bloom I cut one green layer of paper and two red ones. I cut into the petals a little so I could shape them by bending the petals over a paintbrush handle. The edges are inked in gold and in the centres are filled with gold sequins and seed beads.

I surrounded my vintage image (a scan of an old postcard from my collection) with various stamps and die cut images to finish the piece.

Road Trip

Good morning.

I hope you are all having a lovely week.
As it is Wednesday, I am here to show you my latest project.

I have so much fun decorating this car.

I love the new Cool Dude papers - perfect for my road trip card.
The headlights were cut out of some papers which had cogs and wheels on them.

Of course I had to colour some flowers with the Marion Smith color lab starter kit.
This is one of my best buys as I can now colour match any project and I had such fun getting inky.

Thank you all for stopping by today and for your lovely comments.
See you soon.

Hugs Sharon. x

Autumn Leaves

A card for the men today.  I don’t know about you but I really struggle to make cards for men and usually end up buying them, so when this Silhouette Tree stamp arrived in my DT kit I thought it would be perfect for those hard to make cards.

I found this cute owl charm in my stash which fitted with the idea I had in my head whilst I was making this.  I cut the Autumn Ivy Leaves circle die from some of the paper that is in the pad, inked it whilst it was still in the die then inked the edges.

I coloured the Kraft Art Leaves with a dark brown marker.  Note I couldn’t NOT put flowers on, I tried sitting on my hands and nope, that so didn’t work lol.  I restrained myself tho, and only snuck two on.

Pink Cadillac

Hello and good morning everyone, seeing this great new car card art from Dutch Doobadoo, I immediately had to think about the song Pink Cadillac by Natalie Cole from the 80thies. Guess what I am hearing in the background? ;-)

Well, so my car card hat to be pink and flower power, with a sweet girl in pettycoat sitting on the hood :-)

The dog is sitting behind a window, but unfortunately it's not visible on the photo.

With matching sentiment...
